Two questions I had were
was there any significance of Sharon needing those pills besides Tar taking them later on?
And
the daughter was adopted by the both of them and Sharon said it’s the one relationship Tar cared about. Why can she take her away?
I think the pills were some kind of anti anxiety pills, just feel like they both were very stressed people, but that Lydia kind of brought it onto Sharon, by cheating and the whole scandal.
About the girl, I just think with that whole public scandal and them breaking up it was kind of logical that the girl would stay with Sharon. But as often happens with divorces one parent kind of wants the child for themselves to spite the other parent. And the public will always choose a side and so will the court or whoever decides that s\*\*\*. There is no father here, but often the father is f\*\*\*ed up in these kind of situation if there still is a big fight between the parents, most of the time the mothers side is chosen even if unfairly so.
I like that this film has so many subtle and unanswered things that are open to interpretation in it, makes you think about it way longer. Don't often see that in many modern films. Feel like Todd Field learned from working with Kubrick in that regard.

Are we sure that the pills Sharon takes are the same ones Lydia takes? They mention the pills Sharon takes by name and they're used to treat high blood pressure and/or a whole host of heart related problems including arrhythmias. I was under the impression that's what she takes them for considering she says, "it's racing."

That could be indeed, I thought the heart was racing had to do with her having an anxiety attack or something, did not notice the name of the pills tbh.
For some reason I thought the pills was gonna lead to something bigger cause in the beginning when Sharon needed them and Tar had the new subscription she just got from her assistant she told Sharon that she had found them in the drawer when that wasn’t true. Then later she reminds Sharon to take them I’m probably looking too deep into it tho
I also kinda saw it like they were sitting in front of her with her hand raised like she was conducting them and taking her pick at which one she wanted mirroring her predatory ways
Brilliant
that could be it tbh, still find the whole live-streaming s\*\*\* talking from Olga very weird, like it was pure chance that she got elected into the orchestra, but it felt like she was some kind of master plan spy, but the story kind of ends before we get any answers about that.
iirc the book reading/live-streaming scene happens after the tar/krista suicide connection becomes public so olga prolly caught on to what tar was doing w her and just adding fuel to the controversy surrounding tar
also in their first lunch meeting tar didn’t know about some like women’s rights day or some s\*\*\* and that was prolly a red flag for olga/she might have been cautious from the jump.

That was 100% the intention. The girl that looks up is in the same spot Olga was in Tars orchestra
This reminded a little bit of falling down, not sure why…man was this captivating
