The movie isn’t really about her not receiving awards, she’s already an awarded talent by the time she is introduced, it’s moreso about her problematic behavior catching up to her in real time and witnessing her downfall

anyway, good film - feel like i've been thinking about it a lot since in a good way. really expertly teased out, honestly never thought about the length of it. love the overall tension and the occasional tips into full on horror tropes.

I think I agree with you and tbh I don't think it really stacks up to any scrutiny BUT I definitely see how ppl could see the way the tension of the film peaks in the last quarter, tar's own mania moving to the fore and the slightly absurd ending and find something to cling on to about it
