why is the ‘owning woke libs’ scene the one people always highlight as a standout when I look fr discussion on this film, that might be the most whatever scene in movie even though it’s good

My absolute favorite scenes are when she’s exerting control over the orchestra, the tension, discontent, unspoken politics…like the acting in those scenes is phenomenal man, some wild kinetic energy

It’s provocative, especially for the current climate and pretty on the nose. Was always gonna be the scene that took off

I feel like a lot of the initial discourse about this film was so hyper focused on that scene either disingenuously or just latching onto it as an easy talking point meant that a lot of that filtered into more considered spaces

yeah you’re right, I think people were even preemptively saying she was gonna go viral as a conservative meme, but like it’s barely interesting compared to the rest of the stuff going on in the film
