That title is clickbait af. Why are people roasting them over a consumer friendly move
theyre moving into being a service and theyll still have exclusives just across gens why do customers celebrate exclusive games
Niggas weird
Have people misread what he’s said?
There will be no new first party Xbox games exclusively on Series X for two years. They’ll be available on both current and next gen consoles.
No good reason whatsoever to own a new XBOX console over a gaming PC.
A reason for people that don’t want a gaming PC
this tweet that gamestop article cites from in the end is 100% true and we already seeing happen in multiple ways
even playstation exclusives will come to PC as its happening with horizon zero dawn
cope tbh
Ps5 niggas itt hyping up Action/Adventure sequels and MLB The Show 20

My nigga........XBOX DONT GOT S*** TO HYPE UP!!!
F*** Phil Spencer.
I get what he's trying to say now. So basically they are doing what smart phones do. You can play the games at any console but will run faster in newer consoles.
They want to be the Netflix of consoles too basically. Pay a monthly subscription and get to play all the games any time.
That's actually a really cool idea ngl, but as long as Sony keeps doubling down on their exclusive content and quality, dunno how far it will go.
I guess it would work really well if Xbox makes exclusives as good as Sony.
Let's see

this hurts the quality of the games though. when you have to account for last gen hardware while developing you can’t push the game to its limits
this can’t be seen as anything other than a L

See, they are looking at what Apple, Google, Amazon, etc. are doing in regards to creating an ecosystem with different products to have their base stick around
The difference is all those companies have already amassed huge fanbases which is why their approach works.
Xbox has lost a lot of players to either playstation or the PC. They need to get the player base back to the level of the 360 again and for that they need to be focusing on game studios and exclusives before they start getting into this ecosystem stuff, which may actually have the adverse effect of making the few people who still play Xbox feel turned off that they have all these new features but no good single player games.

Thats true and probably why Sony exclusives will always have the better games in term of quality...but also think of it as a PC.
Regardless if you have the latest PC hardware or not, you could still play the games but in lower quality.

yeah I get the thinking behind it but I don’t think it’s the right move after Sony spent last gen hammering them with quality exclusives.
Making the most powerful console ever and offering nothing but glorified Xbox One games with some better resolution just sounds backwards and basically gives me zero incentive to buy a Series X

true. Doing all this is great, but if you are not giving us new games that are the same level to what Sony is giving us, then why would I even switch?
I guess we'll find out next week.
