"Spencer's comments line up with what Xbox Game Studios boss Matt Booty said earlier in 2020. "As our content comes out over the next year, two years, all of our games, sort of like PC, will play up and down that family of devices," Booty said. "We want to make sure that if someone invests in Xbox between now and Series X that they feel that they made a good investment and that we're committed to them with content."
Microsoft's approach is more akin to a phone upgrade. Games still release across devices, but you'll get a better performance with the newer hardware. As Booty alluded to, this has been standard on PC for decades."
For the numb nuts who can't read
so no fable?
There is probably, but will be for both old and new gens instead of just the new gen.
Thats what he means, not that there is no exclusives at all.
Title is bait AF lol, gamespot trynna get clicks
Wow ! Xbox how could you? Halo for PlayStation ?
Halo for all Xbox and pc. I don't think cross platform will happen soon like that

Fair I figured. Can you imagine halo on ps would be the true fall of Xbox considering it’s the goat staple they have left. Gears of war is horrible and has always been so I’ll just forget that exists
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being transparent. I can’t imagine we’ll get many sony exclusives within the first few years of the ps5 launch either, given the current state of the world.
The fallout of the pandemic is hitting the entertainment industry hard. It’s tough to make a game when you can only communicate virtually.
That title is clickbait af. Why are people roasting them over a consumer friendly move
It seems people don't realize how good this is. Good on Xbox

its not really about coronavirus
It is moreso that they are still making exclusive games, they just won't be exclusive to one system so that they aren't forcing people to get the newest console for the next few years.
playstation users been known to have small d***s
I'm talking about the tweet/article. I could understand why people who just read the headline would make this thread
They worded this terribly lmao
This is a good thing, their games are gonna be on Xbox and PC but not PlayStation.
The way it's worded makes it looks like they have no Xbox first party games coming out. Everyone already knows Halo, gears and Forza are gonna drop
Yeah but for shooters crossing PC and console never works out well. Ones at a massive disadvantage
Only reason to want a console over a PC is either cuz you broke or cuz you wanna play the exclusives tbh
Lol you thought you had one with this one.
everybody with a puny brain trying to spin this as positive. y’all are brainwashed and y’all are letting them finesse y’all into buying a product they know the games will be inferior for. this is actually anti innovation as games architecture wont improve as much as it should given the generational leap, but they’ll conveniently leave that out because they are trying to sell y’all something. how do y’all not see this s***? have fun with games with unnecessary elevator rides and s***

If that's what happening then everybody will see that next week.
If their games next week are mid then Xbox deserves this L....

all they had to do was develop for the new hardware. i swear no one really cares that they’ll be able to play their xbox one for a couple more years. that’s just something they have to say to get people to buy into their ecosystem. but it leaves gamers looking for that innovation out to dry. and it’s especially confusing because they’re actually dropping a budget friendly version as well, which leads me to believe they want to capitalize off the uninformed types, the soccer mom types that just go to the store and buy an xbox not knowing wtf they’re really getting. it’s actually not a bad plan but to say it’s progressive thinking is just wrong, it’s predatory business practices and not being completely transparent. phil has been carefully wording himself and being disingenuous to his customers to get them to keep buying in rather than jump ship to the better platform. that’s shady. especially when all they had to do was play the same game as sony, they were getting f***ed up so bad last gen the marketing team had to say f*** it we gotta do something else cause they’re killin us. and i can clearly see that, but it sucks so many people would rather fall for the empty words and toxic practices disguised as player empowerment

Bro what 😂😂😂😂. Predatory ?
Hate playing games with a mouse and keyboard tbh. Rather play with a controller.
you can use a controller on a PC lol
