I hope this don't seem dumb as s\*\*\* but I read the chapter multiple times and still don't get how the second Denji was just lurking amongst the Public Safety bodies waiting to ambush Makima ?

This isn't necessarily ch 96 but why are the Human Weapon types not forgotten when they're consumed by Chainsaw ?

The whole forgotten thing kind of had me wondering in general because how do you forget things that still exist, I think nuclear war was one of the things Makima mentioned being forgotten but the weapons would still exist right ?

Power's blood weakening Makima from the inside out was dope but she was strong as S\*\*\*...was it really oh yeah, Power got her woozy now we gonna chop her up real quick ?

Was the reason the Control Devil was reincarnated as Nayuta and not forgotten because Denji ate her and not Chainsaw Man and because it came from a place of kindness ?

Denji was able to sneak on Makima because she didn't recognize his scent (implying she never saw him as someone worth noting).

CSM's ability is to consume - it is not to erase permanently. Meaning, he's capable of removing Devils *temporarily* from existence. In a more recent chapter, the War Devil says she'll make Denji *vomit* nuclear weapons back up - meaning that the Nuclear Weapons Devil still exists and is capable of returning.

When consumed by CSM, devils themselves forget their concepts. And yeah you're right, Denji *killed* Makima/Control devil. Meaning she then got reincarnated in Hell, and then Earth. She still is the same Control devil (one of the four Horsemen), but her memories as "Makima" are apparently gone (or are they?).

As for nuclear weapons still existing in the real world - I have no idea honestly. Because then yeah humans would be able to figure out what they were.

I get the scent thing but what I'm confused on is how there was a second Denji lurking in public safety garb in the first place...hybrid chainsaw man is fighting Makima, gets murked and then Denji pulls up???
