A thought/question I have (Chap 98 spoilers) Do you guys think mitaka will be our antagonist in a makima way of things along with the other two ancient devils makima mentioned in part 1 or will there be a role reversal and denji will act as the antagonist of the story this time around?

I hope it’s not the latter I really like Denji as the mc and I’m hella interested to catch up with him as it seems like it’s been a year or so later

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the war devil ends up being a bait and switch like the gun devil. We were made to think the gun devil was gonna be the main villain but it ended up being Makima. I think Denji will stay as the mc but his main villain will be something completely different than what we're being led to believe The only Fujimoto stuff I've read are CSM and Goodbye, Eri but it seems antithetical to his writing style is introduce the main villain right at the start of the story.

I don't expect him to do the same twist twice but I don't also don't think it's going to be as straight forward as it looks like now "here's the bad guy that Denji has to beat"

yeah now that you put it that way it shouldnt be too obvious and so early in the story, I get what you're saying

but mitaka is sooo likeable I need more of her

plus the fact that denji was absent from the debut of the continuation made me feel like we're going to have a fundamental shift character-wise
