People were lowkey piling on Cudi after SH2H but I think you touched on it, Cudi is just much more likable so people aren’t gonna hate on him to the same extent. Chance has made himself come off as very unlikable, arrogant, obnoxious, and phony. Chance even attempted to use mental health to shield him from the hate. The main backlash against The Big Day was just people growing tired of his Superman act

Acid Rap and Surf were amazing. Coloring Book was not that good other than a few tracks here and there. Big Day was wack.

Chance's whole schtick is just woefully lame and boring at this point. It worked on Acid Rap/Surf cause of the live instrumentation, his sheer youthful energy, the non-industryness of it all, and maybe most of all the fact that his style stood in clear opposition to the drill coming out of Chicago at that time.

Then he went from that to a guy telling dad jokes (CB) to a walking dad joke who's not in on the joke (TBD). He just seems super arrogant and just leveraging some perception that he is still some woke unsigned man of the people to be, in fact, even more wack than the majority of the signed artists.

"I'm looking for a deal" in that video that was posted on page 1, said everything that needed to be said. When you get an Apple Music deal and even they get tired of your BS it says something...

Big Day was another level of trash and you know that.

Cudi had a couple mediocre projects, but to this day, his only really terrible project is SBTH. And even then, it still has 4-5 really good songs buried in a pile of garbage.

His response to it was 100% his fault. Instead of taking the harsh criticism and trying to better himself, he went on Twitter and said we were trying to get him to kill himself. Maybe a couple people were, but most of us were just really tired of his arrogance and it's apparent he did something wrong, considering he had to cancel an entire tour due to extremely low ticket sales. Even when people were "hating" on him before, he was still able to sell out arenas.
