ArcticGotchu man, at this point we‘re talking about small nuances it’s really down to personal preference and I feel like for me it’s also because I just heard the mixtapes first.
Coming back to the original topic of Fantano though, to me it makes no sense that he disliked HOB and liked EOS. Both are lyrically and sonically so similar that it is really contradicting and i feel like he sometimes does this on purpose to generate buzz.
Well at the time, you gotta remember that Alt R&B wasn’t in full-swing yet. That darker side of R&B didn’t kick in until this tape...of course Take Care came out in November and that was the game changer for the mainstream. The tape was ahead of its time I guess lol
