@BaroudeurFlipFlop bro I haven’t read the whole thread (like 1/3rd at most) but I don’t understand why you keep bringing up that they are an obscure newspaper like this behaviour is ok?even if it was a single user posting these types of drawings on ktt it would still be disgusting.
FlipFlop was arguing about their actual influence. There are genuinely insidious figures and organizations such as Le Pen or Blanquer, but people keep focusing on a satirical newspaper, that while they're unequivocally garbage, for the most part have no bearing on the actual reason or landscape of the racism and xenophobia in France.
They solely act to garner attention, while everyone ignores the actual problems at hand.
How is this mocking George Floyd? They’re just using it to emphasize racist s*** the royal family did.
Yeah this is what I took from it although it looks crazy

Thank you
Actual people from the GOVERNMENT (!!!) are the one fueling the hate and giving into far right racist and islamophobic ideas
I don’t have any problem with @BaroudeurFlipFlop It seems like I misread his points but a few of y’all in the thread still defending this
:
Maybe if the French hadn’t gone there and f***ed things up, and this sounds insane! The..migrants wouldn’t have came..

You see, what you said is exactly what the people that are made fun of in this cartoon are denying...
Then we can agree lmao
we all agree on this bro lol
i was just trying to give background infos on the context in which these guys did that
i think it would be more important to have a 20 pages thread about Macron racist policies than about old cartoons drawn by edgy white guys
Hey man I agree, I just said this to tel' people Charlie Hebdo are not like the fuel of evil hatred some people think they are, just to say that nobody really cares about them like that, there's some people who are doing way more wrong than these corny boomers and are making people actually more bigoted everyday, people like Eric Zemmour or Marine Le Pen, who get invited on TV to spit out hate speech like every week... That's the real cancer of French society, and the funny thing is that these guys also get comics made to mock them by Charlie Hebdo
its understandable to think that because they are small that they don’t do much harm, and yeah there are bigger fish to fry. But feeding into hate speech trickles down into society & amplifies far right extremism. It is harmful. Even a neighbor telling his street to vote for a certain party or a mother telling her kids to hate a certain people still has its consequences if it influences people. And I don’t think it’s fair to think people shouldn’t be uncomfortable with that, no matter how small.
Mods lock this thread up it’s stupid asf lmao
Shouldve been locked back when Cow was sending voice notes of his Ali G impersonation
we all agree on this bro lol

that would be really interesting, i assume Macron is still deeply unpopular? i haven’t followed much since earlier in the gilets jaunes movement. election is next year right?

I agree but the thing is they're not really giving into hate speecj like most of the time they're making fun of the people actually doing hate speech but it gets lost in translation and taken out of context and it's just general s***ty tasteless humour
You’re slow
I said I misread his points but you’re still saying they’re purely satire after their attack on a Muslim woman

But I agree with everything you said and free speech also comes with questioning people using their free speech for this s***
Satire only works when there's a point to prove
Besides that its just idiots thinking what they think is important is worth satirizing
I said I misread his points but you’re still saying they’re purely satire after their attack on a Muslim woman
I don’t know the cartoon you’re talking about, but you have misunderstood literally everything else in this thread, so you don’t really get the benefit of the doubt here

Ooh it's gotten way worse since then 🤪 election is next year and it seems we're set up for a new Macron vs Le Pen
