All the criticisms for this album when it first came out were so weak “the mixing 🤓” “he’s just flexing about cars now”.

Most people mark Flowerboy as when Tyler leveled up but imo it’s always been Cherry Bomb, with the Wolf Instrumentals coming out it really set in how poverty the sounds he used to use were, where as on Cherry Bomb nothing sounds cheap, the production is bonkers, he pulls off multiple styles, the structures are fresh, the features were all used perfectly.

Amazing, stupidly high highs, but too messy and inconsistent for classic status imo.
That being said I love this album so much, was my favorite t album for the longest, and ran the summer it came out.

What are the lows for you? It being messy is apart of its appeal, like I don’t think I’d like it to be mixed any other way than the way it is

It's still his best album to me, it has the angst of B****** / Goblin with the step up in production that Wolf had

Agreed. I loved Igor when it first came out, CMIGYL is great but this one has an energy that I can’t get enough of

Wolf was a step up but this was a total leap forward for him production wise, Idek how dude went from those beats to the s*** on here

For me personally Buffalo is eh, title track works when you just want to go insane but it’s unlistenable otherwise, and I don’t like Blow My Load much.
I’m also on the fence about Deathcamp sometimes too, but it’s still hard af.
Keep in mind, I don’t really DISLIKE any of these songs, but compared to stuff like Smuckers or Okaga CA, they just pale in comparison.
Also, I also kinda like the messy feel to the album, and I think it would work really well if it was reeled in just a little. Like, I love how he jumps around so many different sounds, but it’s all kept together by this consistent bright, lovely energy, but sometimes the changes are a little sudden and give me whiplash (FYW into title track for example).
Still, album is AT LEAST an 8/10, and I love it

Entire album is just pure raw expression and impulse. It’s crazy the way he mixes beauty and abrasiveness, I feel like people think he executed that better with Igor overall but CB is supreme to me. One of a kind album

Igor had a bit of that but on Cherry Bomb it just felt realer and hungrier, i don’t want to go too far but CB gives me some of the same feelings as Yeezus

    Great album!!

Amazing production, the vibe is gritty yet beautiful

Its like the sun coming out after a thunderstorm

Find Your Wings, Blow My Load, 2Seater, Brown Stains, Okaga are beautiful
