to be fair, the kid wasn't stressing off of it. He played matches the very next day and seems to be in good spirits, it's not like he's lost his ability. just one finger. The parents are the ones making a big fiasco of it and publicizing it, likely so they can get paid.
this would be like that basketball robot breaking its opponents leg in a pick up game
this makes it seem like it was a malicious act. If you watch the video, you can see that the robot was moving like normal, but the kid happened to slide his hand right into the area that the robot's arm was moving towards
