If you showed someone these two albums and they had no knowledge of the runtime or specific track length or genre label on streaming, would that person really walk away thinking that Bando Stone was inspired by Blonde?
Tracks 3 and 4 was what initially made me clock the blonde influence. I noticed the other stuff after

By breaking all these points down individually you’re missing the point that it’s not just any one of these things. It’s the way they all come together, and also relating it to Gambinos comment about wanting this to be one of those SOS type albums that stick with people, and Blonde is one of the first albums that comes to mind in that category. Cmon man y’all are anti intellectual

Did Frank Ocean invent acoustic guitar songs?
Track 3 isn’t an acoustic guitar song. But the lyrical approach and even melody on both those is very Frank esque. I always assumed Donald was a fan of Frank and took some cues from him in his singing/songwriting
