I made this thread to discuss the pro police protest. It’s a far more interesting stance in the current climate.

Because the way u titled the thread makes it seem like the local Chinese community at large is taking a pro Police stance. And as @lil_clam pointed out, that's not the whole picture.

Hate crimes against Asians pretty much go ignored and since Covid the spike has been insane. The only people that help them are the police. No other minority group gives a s*** about Asians and never sticks up for them because they’re seen as level with whites.
It’s understandable that they aren’t fw everything that’s going on.

They aren’t being racist against black people. They are supporting the police. They are afraid.
You don’t live in nyc so you don’t know that there have been large spikes in all crimes since NYPD plain clothes unit was disbanded.
There are now daily assaults and shootings in broad daylight and the city is devolving into something awful.
Chinatown areas in Brooklyn and Manhattan have been hot beds for crime in recent weeks
