Well who else was doing the multi-franchise movies with woven story arcs into a bigger story That was a risk within it self because not only you risk one movie failing, you risk several I agree that the execution has been subpar but the nature of the films are creative despite you b****ing about how every studio is chasing that kind of money it pulls in But at the same time, they aren't designed to be art pieces to be gawked over in film circles like David Lynch, David Fincher or Akira Kurosawa films, they are designed to be fun and make money and they succeed despite them suffering from the pitfalls of sequels because that's basically what these films are. And recalling past movies is just having a somewhat cohesive plot in said sequels. But they're business practices are worse than any of that and neither of Chloe or Halle are responsible for that

TDLR: The films are fun, you mad at the wrong s*** regarding disney and the movie industry as a whole and ethical consumption and production is damn near impossible whether being a consumer or a employee in capitalism

man what? Cinematic universes are just an extension of what sequels/anthologies are. And comic books been done this exact concept if you think there is even a hint of creativity in just extending the very worst of what a sequel/anthology can be: lazy excuses to remake the same movie

no they're not. Mission Impossible is fun. Raiders of the Lost Ark is fun. Mad Max Fury Road is fun. You can be fun AND creative. The MCU is just formulaic drivel that wants to be fun by inserting everything that worked well about the 70s and 80s Spielberg/Cameron films without wanting to put any of the effort that they put into the actual direction and set pieces of those films.

Even worse than the MCU are these soulless cash grab disney remakes, which is hilarious because they are remaking animated films which just copied the typical 90s disney animated film formula. So Chloe is representing the absolute bottom of the barrel s*** here integrity wise.
