man what? Cinematic universes are just an extension of what sequels/anthologies are. And comic books been done this exact concept if you think there is even a hint of creativity in just extending the very worst of what a sequel/anthology can be: lazy excuses to remake the same movie

I also hate the idea that people say "theyre just fun"

no they're not. Mission Impossible is fun. Raiders of the Lost Ark is fun. Mad Max Fury Road is fun. You can be fun AND creative. The MCU is just formulaic drivel that wants to be fun by inserting everything that worked well about the 70s and 80s Spielberg/Cameron films without wanting to put any of the effort that they put into the actual direction and set pieces of those films.

Even worse than the MCU are these soulless cash grab disney remakes, which is hilarious because they are remaking animated films which just copied the typical 90s disney animated film formula. So Chloe is representing the absolute bottom of the barrel s*** here integrity wise.

I know comics have done it, but because you switch mediums doesn't mean it'll translate well not only creatively but also because of said audiences and they managed to do it And they are fun, just like transformers and several fast and furious were fun movies despite being the same movie over and over again and casual fans love it But you are just talking about creative and not business choices Disney made which is making me tune out of this. You have good one

people hated the transformers movies, though I'd say they are still more fun than the MCU because visually they are more interesting and its atleast cool that they shoot on location rather than everything being green screen

and fast and the furious is far more creative (also lowkey been done the cinematic universe concept better than the MCU). Tokyo Drift and Fast 5 are such vastly different movies in every way, not just from a narrative standpoint, but also the style, cinematography, direction, etc. Nothing in the MCU has a hint of that series versatility
