Christopher Nolan is currently hard at work trying to figure out which cool looking facial accessory and story device will make Cillian’s dialogue inaudible.
tenet wasnt even about characters tho . its why the main dude is just “the protagonist” its just more so nolan playing with a silly concept, and we just sit back and enjoy the mind f***
It was a cool concept but I bet you would like the movie 10 times more if it had strong characters

Neil is an amazing character.
Also the protag is a super badass CIA operative. They just don’t use dialogue to show it. But in the first ten minutes of the movie you glean so much about him.
You won
The world won
Nah I forgot where I read it but I think nolan feels indebted to him or something like that
Don’t see what’s pretentious about asking for specific demands as one of, if not the, biggest working name directors in the world.
He is the one who will spend the most time and effort on it the next three years, not the Universal/WB/whoever executives and board members that’ll rotate in and out.
People love to hate on stuff that's popular. They think it's cool to be contrarians.
Universal Japan trying to market this like
Idk, kinda hoping the film is against the decision to drop the bombs so it might be cool to have a film actually acknowledge for once how absolutely insane and despicable it is we dropped them

I dunno, 'The iMax-shot epic thriller thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it' doesn't have me hopeful
Also what a horrible way to frame that lol

The movie's apparently based on a book about how deeply depressed/tense Oppenheimer's life was as a result of him morally disagreeing with the decision.
He was doing science to "save" the world but then wound up being the reason it could be destroyed.

Following this up, I read the book's Preface on Amazon and it literally opens with a foucs on Oppenheimer being wanted/pursued by the government to resign due to his left-wing tendencies and his outspoken anger over America's desired strategic use of nuclear weapons.
So Nolan x Zimmer is no more?
Nah.
Zimmer was working on Dune while Nolan was filming Tenet.
Assume that Chris enjoyed working with Ludwig, so they’re collaborating again this time around
But when Ludwig isn’t available, or Nolan is looking for a more “traditional” score..
The duo will be reunited soon I’m sure.
