shutter island is a derivative of an old film, i am blanking on the name right now, and does not really explore or do anything that films before it had not already. I was a tad silly putting raging bull in there on god, its good, but like I said it's overrated. not saying its bad, but that movie was slightly boring. did not do the best job of holding my attention, but De Niro's performance carries the film more than MArtins directing.
