Where though
Nolan’s movies been formulatic as of late, but this feels like he just said f*** it and is going with what he feels like, kinda out of his comfort zone. Hope I’m not wrong.
Zimmer's a genius, but a good bit of the reason Zimmer's soundtracks have been so successful in Nolan films is due to Nolan himself. Nolan has motifs and types of music in mind and communicates with composers prior to just about any other crew members.
Dunkirk's score is one of Zimmer's best ever and is a main component of why the film works so well, and Zimmer was the first to say the process was strenuous because Nolan was so particular about what he wanted in order to make the film work.
Ludwig has been working with Nolan on this for a long time, and Nolan knows exactly what this film needs to enhance it. Ludwig is the man for the job and he's gonna bring it.
it’s actually the other way around as well tho, a lot of times hans themes will help shape the style and tone of the movie itself/storytelling, if anything hans plays a role in the quality of nolan’s final product even past just the music
Some really weird shots I'm not used to from Nolan, I'm noticing from one of the screenshots that we're released and the beginning shots in the trailer scream intimacy and closeness, and focus on the character to kind of create claustrophobia (window shot and kidnapping/torture shot)
Usually with Nolan you see these zoomed out setpieces mostly but this is something different
the lack of intimacy and depth in most nolan films are his biggest drawback, so this is a good sign
would love to see nolan do a real gritty character study at some point, would probably be incredible
does anyone know when the prologue shows at the theater? is it before the trailers or part of the trailer lost
also im assuming it will probably show before Rise of Skywalker right

I mean...you're correct but my point is still valid. Nolan understands the purpose and value of a good score and works with his composers early so they can help craft the tone. Same here with Ludwig. Ludwig's score appears to be fantastic from what we've heard.
Prologue leaked also if you know where to find it
Need that link cause I ain’t spending no money on Star Wars

Just watched it, absolutely INSANE. Ludwigs music is killer, the action is crazy, and I’m not gonna spoil it for those that haven’t seen it, but what JDW did in that one part towards the end... sooooo sick
