playing on DCP and 35mm the 26th but not sure if it's worth the ticket price of 25 dollars
25 Dollars for a movie ticket ?
They better have Nolan at the end personally thanking each and everyone of y'all or sum

all the cinemas are closed and except this one because they'd go bankrupt otherwise. it's some kind of niche arthouse theatre that shows old and new films. with the clientele they expected $25 might be alright lol
instead of popcorn, they sell charcuteries, craft beer, champagne and wine etc. i usually just go to the bar and get a drink before and bring one in.
they showing kill bill, the shining and plein soleil the next 2 weeks so im not sure if i wanna see tenet when I can do that in imax once cinemas open

Sounds fancy. This is probably their target audience

unironically dress like that when I go minus the suit jacket. just an overcoat or rain coat depeending on season
Had to walk up 2 flights of steps to get to the first seats bc the screen was so big.
Care to explain why? I have only tried IMax twice for Star Wars and Endgame, sound and picture was pretty great but haven't tried 70mm so can't compare.
There's a difference between 70mm and IMAX 70mm.
Screen sizes are like this:
IMAX 70mm > IMAX Laser >>> IMAX Digital >> 70mm > 35mm > Standard Digital
I'd choose in that order depending on what's available. Never seen a movie in standard non-IMAX 70mm though so others might disagree.

So many IMAX options too

IMAX Digital near me is ~20 ft tall. The IMAX 70mm screen I went to was 2 hours away and was ~50 ft tall. Totally worth it.

So sad there's no IMAX 70mm in/near LA. You would think there would be considering we have Hollywood, but nah IMAX laser is our best option
The boxoffice run of this film will conduct the whole industry and any movie going for the rest of the year.

Nolan from the ICG Magazine interview:
The visual side of the film is huge in scale, but our VFX shot count is probably lower than most romantic comedies. (Editor Jennifer Lame estimates fewer than 300 shots.)

Allegedly some IMAX employees got to see the movie, one guy posted his spoiler-free review. Seems accurate from what I could read.
I saw this and tried to verify this but i couldn't find a single thing online. Most of the times when a screening like this happens theres more to find about it than just a single random letterboxd review
It does sounds very believeable though
