trying to give Nolan credit for Leo shedding his "heartthrob" image when he was already leading Scorsese films for a decade is wild
pattinson was already stamped you trippin
Tenet was his first major studio blockbuster post-Twilight. He was cast in Tenet prior to his casting in Batman and lots of people clowned his casting in Batman because they didn't know any better.
Not everyone's as locked into this stuff as you and I.

Inception was a massive contribution to his filmography in the mainstream. Inception was a major role for him (which is/was larger in the mainstream zeitgeist than a lot of his work with Scorsese btw). That being true and me saying it's true does not equal me crediting Nolan with solely being the one to change that image. EDIT: I even said that in the post, what are you on about lmfao
It's not a coincidence that post-Titanic Leo looked for and took on roles with various auteurs.
I'm saying Nolan has a history of taking on actors trying to change their image. RDJ fits that bill too just in a different way.
bald head rub confirmed
Zendaya Athena?
That's been the guess that makes the most sense to me from the beginning

I’m sorry but you’re waffling

Nolan loves casting people who are trying to shift their public image and loves putting them in roles that do that. Anne Hathaway and RDJ have spoke about it explicitly within like the last year. And he's done it a lot with male actors who started out as young heartthrobs.
If you think that's nuts, that's on you

ok
This is unconfirmed stuff from Greek tabloids just being thrown around as fact lol.
People are desperate for some news on this in a way I haven't seen for very many projects. Very cool.
