the american accents and modern vocab kinda took me out

visuals don't look as fanastically as i thought it would. in fact it kinda looks like the same cold washed out style that Nolan has had since Dunkirk. i donno how i feel about that visual style being put in something like Odyssey which is supposed to be larger than life.

at this point, it absolutely will. they both seem to be nolan letting loose and just having a blast, and that seems to upset a lot of people that are easily taken out of the experiences by very arbitrary things.

i saw ben-hur for the first time in theaters a couple weeks back and i was genuinely amazed by the spectacle that i was witnessing. however, that changed halfway through when I realized that none of the actors were speaking like how they would have during that time period. in that moment, i decided that the film was actually trash

Well actually the lack of accuracy in costumes and voices makes this movie a farce . It’s Nolan making his own odsssey the giant knights looks like a marvel movie .
