As a huge Drake fan 59 is incredible
Add another hit to papi’s resume
Comparing this song to the tracks he had during the beef….this s*** is ass.
Drake really had his pen wake up for a hot 3 tracks but I’m afraid he back in his comfort zone all over again. Privileged rapper
I stopped enjoying this song when I learned that it’s literally just two untouched Splice loops thrown together
seen it gaining traction on TikTok and stuff, so ion know bout not connecting
i hope it does! but it doesn't seem to be charting anywhere

this is the worst shtick/gimmick i've ever seen on any forum ever
Agreed @op
The only song that rivals this is Family Matters
Family Matters better

why does that make a song worse. why would that impact your enjoyment? the content of the song hasn't changed. nothing in the writing or performance or production has changed.
also, yes its two splice loops in the synths, but they're chopped up and sequenced + tthere drums on top + theres bass underneath + the soul sample in between
i kinda get it with stuff like sabrina espsresso where its LEGIT two loops right out the box put on top of each other with 0 played or added by the producer
but this isn't any different than most rap beats

It’s lazy. The soul sample is actually a Splice loop too.
The song already sounded low effort to begin with, that feeling was confirmed when I learned it’s just a bunch of Splice loops untouched and thrown together

but its not 'just' the loops. theres programmed drums and programmed bass, and the 3 samples are chopped up and sequenced.
the main broken type synth is sped up, raised in key.
they obviously didn't literally just throw splice loops together. listen to it. thats obviously different. that sample sounds very different to how they ended up flipping it and using in the new bpm, key, context for ciradian rhythm
loop plays four times and then is raised an octave as the verse progresses when all the drums come in with the 808. the soul and verse sample have FX on them.
and, using sample maker loops has become very common place. most producers get frank dukes and cubeatz personalised loops sent to them and just add drums. this is no different but its from splice

I’m expecting more musicianship from the biggest rapper in the world than just Splice loops
