mac's music is therapy for my soul ...even if it sounds corny

I don't know If I'll connect with circles emotionally like I did with swimming but Everybody already top 5 mac for me.

I found it funny how in depth you answered to a relatively innocent/ simple question but I actually kinda felt what you said tbh! Particularly the "memories we make are just as valid as dreams" part, tho I'd also point out this goes vice/versa, "dreams are just as valid as memories." when you're reflecting back on your life from a given moment in time dreams can be much more vivid then memories, and memories much more hazy than dreams--or you can't even be sure what happened and what parts you imagined

edit: beautifully written too, great journalism right here. Beautiful to hear they actually had a relationship tho honestly it didn't surprise me, you could hear in the music that they did

Also gotta say I'm not v surprised Blue World and I Can See were earlier tracks, they pretty obviously don't quite belong on this project and I find it very questionable that Brion put them on here tbh. At least would have made much more sense to add them as bonus or something.

Also tbh I doubt this is even close to the Circles Mac would have finished. I feel like he'd have added and revised a s***ton of it, would have brought much more different people in and experimented with different sounds...

To me Good News is the only close to a finished thing sounding track tbh. But even with all the frustrations, I'm still happy they put this out

It just really sucks Mac died.. His development on Swimming was awesome and he clearly had so much more in him too.... I guess I'm just glad he still left Swimming

and one more thought : while swimming , to me is drenched in sadness ,circles is a lot easier to listen to for me, its comforting in a weird way, i like the lightness of it compared to what I'm feeling when i put on swimming.

I agree

circles is more melodic/smooth than swimming is, the intro of blue world for example is mesmerizing to say the least

but I guess I connect with swimming so much cause it had more time to sink in and make me feel some type of way...plus it felt (to me) like a parting gift from mac, although the same can be said about circles. I dunno, I'm just happy we got these 2 great albums instead of trash overproduced compilations (like what happened with xxx and peep)

I was thinking about how people were so mad about Eminem dropping his album the same day, but honestly I think Mac would have loved that.

Watching movies came out the same day as Born Sinner & Yeezus

Swimming came out same day as Astroworld.
