I was walking through SF last night after a concert and had come upon a roller skating club in the middle of Union Square at midnight
S*** was crazy, cities are so alive and filled with so many people doing things and it’s n oddly bonding experience

It’s not actually a place where people live. They’re allotment gardens — i.e., a place for people who live in apartments in the city to have a little plot of land where they can do some gardening in the spring and summer months. Generally, there are laws that prohibit people from living in them full time
IMO allotment gardens are corny for big cities and community gardens are better. Private allotment gardens here in Germany have all these connections to Nazis and racists
