?? How has he gotten worse with every release since Pretty Toney when Fishscale and More Fish were well received lol

Pretty much doesn’t mean all. Of course those two weren’t included. I’m talking his more recent stuff

And I’m talking discographies. If Nas has the best discography in rap like people are saying after the blunders he had with I Am / Nastradamus / Nasir / Lost Tapes 2 / Untitled

All I’m saying is that GFK in that top 5 too.

Ghostface killah needs that redemption album imo at this point. Not saying he’s not capable but the last two in particular were horrendous. But yeah I’m not mad at that take, GFK probably a top 10 artist of all time and a definite GOAT and his discography does stand up to most even with the mis-steps

Yea his recent output doesn’t hold up to the Kings Disease series. I’m just talking about in the entire discography s*** he holds his own

Play on playa and hustlers kinda trash and black repliblucan was a let down for what it was. It’s not a horrible album and I understand why someone would rate it above I am, that album did sound dated the day it dropped, but there are two of Nas best tracks on there and a bunch of other really good songs. Some on there are terrible though and it’s not an easy front to back listen… but then neither is HHID

Yes. He really only has two and half bad albums and I AM was only because they didn't know how to deal with download leaks at the time. The original double album is available and it is a great album.

There’s not really a bad song on there but the “on fire” chants hella annoying

Nah. I do think he has a pretty under appreciated discog in that a lot of people think Illmatic and IWW are his only great records when he has a lot more, but the reality is that many of his records outside of those 2, while really good rap records, never truly felt transcendental to the genre like Illmatic did and I think that’s why he is lacking when you compare him to artists like Kanye, Jay Z, Outkast who all have multiple records which are so distinct from one another and we’re massively influential in different ways.

So a planned series of threads that failed to take off so u did a bait title that you knew people disagreed with? Nice

People will disagree with whatever artist you put in the thread title, that’s just KTT in a nutshell

One contender who is often overlooked is Scarface. His Discography HAS to be up there. But, his influence obviously doesn't match that of Nas, Jay, Kanye, Kendrick and a lot of others. But, based on sheer quality he needs his props. I think it hurts him that he started off in a classic group, as crazy as that might seem.
