Tbh for somebody like Drake an interview really doesn’t benefit him. Idk how beneficial interviews are to him as a “promo” tool. It moreso benefits whatever platform and is content for the fans. If anything it has potential to cause unnecessary bullshit bc ppl will chop and screw s*** for headlines, RTs, and likes. So I also understand why he may be nonchalant or weary of them at this point.

But as a fan I can’t sit here and say I’m 100% cool with no interviews or promo at all because there’s gems that could be asked and other things I would be interested in seeing him do. It doesn’t have to even be an interview. Imagine a Drake tiny desk or something of that sort. Dropping an album followed by dead silence is……….interesting. To say the least.

I don’t think there is any strategy behind it either. He probably feels he just doesn’t need to do those things nor care to. Idk. That would be a question i ask in an interview lol
