Bjork, Calvin Harris, Chem Bros, and Gorillaz have all headlined previous Coachellas but they’re playing this year with a lower billing
You making the trip?
Has anyone ever camped? How is the experience?
I did back in 2013/2014. I couldn't sleep cause people party all night. Understable and whatnot but I need to f***in sleep

Me too. Damn I was trying to get away from the high ass hotel prices.
Like there’s legit 7 headliners on this lineup, and that’s without including Rosalia and a possible LCD Soundsystem surprise set
surprise LCD set??
You making the trip?
Yeah weekend 1
I went last year and it was the best time of my life, and because the timing is perfect with my work schedule I plan on going every year
surprise LCD set??
Yeah last year they announced Arcade Fire was gonna perform a day before the fest started. And they’re having DESPACIO there which is basically Soulwax and James Murphy playing vinyl records in an enclosed tent all weekend.
So if Coachella wants to continue the trend of surprise shows it’s pretty easy to tell what band is a likely candidate

It’s definitely the way to go if you’re on a budget. Everyone’s pretty friendly. You’re not gonna get the best sleep of your life but it’s usually good enough. There’s also a shuttle that takes you to a grocery store so you can get food and supplies whenever you want off site which is super clutch. My group would go get deli food for lunch every day because it was way cheaper than eating there
I can't believe I'm really bout to pay thousands just to see Jai and Frank
Of course there's other artist performing I'll enjoy seeing. But I wouldn't be there if both of those two weren't.
You gonna be mad as f*** when jai and frank are gonna perform at the same time lmao

I doubt they would.
But I do think seeing Jai would ruin my shot of getting a good spot for Frank
anyone think resell prices will be lower than retail like last year... idk if i should cop for retail again
Bro I been buying retail waiting in that stupid online waitlist like a peasant for yearsssss until last year I said f*** it and went to the fields without a pass, found so many scalper selling wristbands for lower than retail. Def the move lol
Fronk prob gonna bring out Calvin Harris and perform Slide
that’s crazy cause i saw chris lake at two diff festivals, one being edc, and he ate both times. fisher on the other hand was disappointing as hell
Saw him at a fest too . Maybe he was too house-y ? My group likes house too but his set was a snoozefest
Also not too big on listening to house sets outdoors
11PM New York standard time? Or cali standard?

Frank live is so good. One of the best days of my life when I saw him. Enjoy it. Well worth it.

I always camp but it depends on your situation. For me popping in some ear plugs makes it so I can sleep like a baby after a long day at the fest.

Was it comfortable? Were you worried about safety??
Was it comfortable? Were you worried about safety??
Not too worried about safety but I suppose anything could happen. They do have different kinds security on patrol (cops on horses and in patrol cars and general security walking around) so don't make it too obvious if you are rolling some jays or anything else like that.
Comfort kind of comes down to how prepared you and your group are. You could for example bring a bigger van and sleep in there if that makes you more comfortable than a tent. I've seen people bring couches and gear to cook.

Depends on your set up. Some people sleep in their vans. I've done tents and back of cars when I've gone in the past.
If you're going to camp, you need to be prepped for anything, but it gets calm from 3 AM - 7 AM.
Didn't have any safety problems personally, but there are incidents here and here.
The worse part of camping is leaving on Sunday. We didn't get out of the parking lot until 2 AM due to the traffic.

yeah all my friends do this and spend half as much as i do when i buy retail... gonna buy off a scalper this year
