    Chance's best project

Prime Chance, in terms of perfecting his sound and making it mainstream and accessible

I always thought this since like 2018, it hit me, cause at first I wasnt rocking with the album that much

    hit and miss. 7/10

  • Feb 15, 2021

    it’s always been a 7/10 for me

Some songs like juke jam, smoke break, etc are mid and some promising songs like all we got, how great or blessings are flawed in some aspects from truly being great

But the songs that do hit like summer friends, no problems, same d****, all night, angels, etc are classics

that "socks on concrete, jolly rancher kids" line hits me with a wave of nostalgia, I love it. there's some great songs on here

Chance will never top acid rap my man's caught lightning in a bottle with that one. Coloring book isn't in the same tier imo.

Its def an overhated album. As someone who grew up going to church and constantly hearing that music I wasnt tripping that he was goin in that direction to go mainstream, I thought it was a good balance between gospel inspired s*** and rap. Especially because if you ever been to one of his shows you can tell how influenced he is by kurt franklin. Bro def got lost between CB and big day tho idk what he was thinkin. If he woulda just refined that CB sound he would be golden right now.

I think acid rap has shades of gospel sprinkled all over it and that s***s great.
