    He's a counterargument:

if A exposed only B to X, then B exposed X to 1000xC, then who's more influential? I would say B by virtue of quantity

  • Aug 6, 2020

    I disagree though

Thug built on Wayne’s sound and the newer artists sound far more like Thug than Wayne

Obviously Wayne’s influence is huge and probably bigger than Thugs but these newer gen artists are direct products of Thug not Wayne

Also @safe I feel like the fact that I can not be as big on trilogy as most weeknd fans but still have him as one of my favorite artist says a lot about his discography.

The same way there are Ye fans who might have Yeezus and TLOP at the top and then CD and LR not as high

I'll make it simpler since you're being dense for no reason.

    X started with A

    Usage chain goes A -> B -> C

C is more influenced by A then he is by B.

    Ye absolutely
Quietly one of the strongest discographies in modern music and he’s barely 30
    Plus he’s a singer
He’s definitely got a lot more in him

In that scenario B would be, but a lot of the new cats grew up when Weezy was at his prime.

Whenever I ever say people reply with "Illmatic>>>>>>>>>>"

I like illmatic better than probably any Jay better but Jays magnitude as a hip hop artist is unmatched by anyone

I like a lot of Ed Sheeran songs, and think hes a good musician.

    I think Yeezus is a 5/10.

I think Logic has rap AOTY this year so far.

I think Future and Young Thug's influence is overstated.

I think Future is too mediocre to be on any top 10 list.

I think DLDT is Drake's best project since IYRTITL.

I think Ratchet Happy Birthday is a good song.

I think After Hours is TheWeeknd's most solid album overall.

    Nicki's old mixtapes are classic.

    Jay Z > Nas

Nicki's old mixtapes are classic though

I find cringe people that are really into music, wasting their time on forums and s*** in meaningless arguments "x is better, no y better" i think it's even dumb to compare or rate music, it's just too subjective and abstract. I find myself doing all this s*** but it's only because i love to s***post on ktt2 when i'm bored.

Eh I think music just connects with ppl that’s why everyone is so passionate about their music taste at least ppl who really love music and have to listen to every song an artist has made that they love even the loosies.
