    Nah I feel you

All that you've said is completely valid, I'm just thinking isn't it still kinda wild that a degree is still important to someone so massive etc.
& that we are all made to feel as though degrees are so essential.

I have a degree that I don't use also, I ain't hating on degrees. Not sure why these other folks assaulting me like I hate Megan or something.

I get you. KTT wakes up ready to be vitriolic so you know how it goes.

But tbh we don't know her reason why she wanted to finish her degree, it could be a lot of reasons past "just in case this career stuff doesn't go right". S***, Kanye wanted to go back to school after dropping an entire album s***ting on college lol.

    Edit: I hate this site.

Edit: I'm actually seeing Megan next year though, I'm serious. I just think the degree has no use for her besides a 30 second talking point in her next Jimmy Fallon interview.

In the history of music has any artist as big as meg ever retired and worked a normal job? Like megan famous famous, the deans literally asked for a selfie as she walked. She will never work a normal job. cmon now lmfao

Bill Withers was a chart topping monster and retired after only like 10 years.

Congrats to her for finishing and getting her degree, bc she could’ve easily said f*** it once her music blew up.

We in a new class where it's a bunch of rappers that actually are having plan B's (e.g. Dababy having more songs for his other artists on his main channel confusing fans when he's always said he wants to retire early and run a label) instead of just winging like the rappers of the 90s.

    Congrats to Meg. :)

Nah that's not why he did it
God intervened & said 'let's let Michael get another three peat & let the Spurs tank one more time so David Robinson & Tim get to play together.'

    The ramifications of that decision
If Tim Duncan gets drafted to another team because he declares earlier, he might play the first half of his career as a center as opposed to just the second half.. Tim Duncan might no longer be considered the best power forward of all time, instead he'd just be a top 5/6 Center

It ain't that deep, let me have fun man

These are things that could've happened

Even David Robinson's career might've been different slightly if he came into the NBA 2 years earlier
Although obviously he still needed the Fundamental to help get the 2 chips

    Selfishness

“Why spend money on a degree to get a wage job when you can trade stocks?” Like the entire point of a degree and job is to make money and not to contribute to societal progress

What makes that post even stupider is that you never see those comments on rappers spending stupid money on chains, watches and tricking. But an education? Thats a waste lmao

but did he work a normal job tho

When Ain't No Sunshine blew up he was in his 30s working for an airport manufacturing company making toilets for 747s.

He never resigned from said job during his decade in the charts cause he thought the industry was fickle.

Now obviously the nigga that made Lean On Me and Lovely Day that was the sole writer for those songs, didn't need to work a day in his life AFTER retirement (them checks for Lean On Me alone gotta be enough to feed generations) but blowing up in his 30s, he hated the music industry so it was always more like a hobby to him.

He turned down every offer he got post-retirement to tour and perform or make new music, even from ?uestlove.

Just saying, some artists don't mind regular life.
