I mean you can refund after playing a certain amount of hours. I do wish more games had demos though. I think the reliance on reviews specifically scores limtis many experiences

I do think people focusing on scores or a game being game of the year overshadow discussion of the actual gameplay mechanics what works or doesnt work for them. I am glad when reviews are critical of gameplay loops because then games improve and designers/ companies take feedback. I hope control Resonant has enough sales to keep them going

Truth be told again I am just anticipating Phantom Blade Zero fully but after this and Wolverine I wonder if the combat will land with critics and fans. No way to know til getting hands on it.

My fear with a lot of these games is spongy enemies that makes combat interactions last longer than they need to.

I wanted to buy this on disc but since I only have a base PS5 it might be worth copping on PC instead? They need to put this on GOG
