Youre telling me it doesnt get better than the first hour?

the game definitely starts slow, it took me an hour or so to get into to but after beating it its one of the most unique games ive ever played. its not necessary to play before this but youll for sure get more enjoyment out of resonant if you know the lore from AW2

did the director just reveal that resonants are bosses or have I been under a rock?

Pretty sure they’ve always been called that. I think the part about some being optional is new info.

But I haven’t really been keeping up with previews like that

This is a tough one because the combat isnt visually hooking me like I dont know if I will love the melee combat. I respect they didnt go another shooting game. The level design itself looks very very creative but I dont know if the combat is what I personally want to play. I always fear hack and slash or melee combat will in some way get tedious. Guns I just get used to even if its tedious in some games ( I fell off control and need to beat alan wake )

Seems like the perfect mix of Control and AW2

Could easily be GOTY if they commit

The first hour is really just set up of the game man lol . I dont understand being bored by a game setting a scene and introducing characters. You could have a short attention span or want straight up action game though. Its not a game that tries to rush. Its not a combat super heavy focused game. Its some but its puzzles or figuring things out.

The bosses especially get ridiculous if you play on harder difficulty’s. The late game sewer boss took me 10+ tries on hard

I did the final Scratch fight on hard mode and ended up basically having to cheese it

There was a certain corner you could stand in where he couldn’t hit you. Stood there, got the damage I needed and beat the game on hard lol. I wasn’t dealing with that

Ok I usually don’t buy physical games but they got me with the art cards and poster. Those goodies look nice

The one time I wanted to go physical, of course they delayed it digital it is I guess lmao
