Mind you cops are quitting en masse because of the current climate. So the people who do stay in the force are either really dedicated and selfless, power hungry psychos, veterans or idiots. I was reading an article about a woman on the force who got spit on multiple times a week, and the worst obscenity’s & dangerous objects flung to her face, until she was bullied to quit because of the toxic environment. If america wants a better police force there needs to be a change in the current attitude towards cops. Otherwise the entire force is going down the drain and these incidents will only keep happening more and more

There needs to be accountability first. How can you change the current attitude towards cops when they can freely get away with murder like this?

Cops just watched a guy put his foot on someones neck and painfully and slowly murder another human being and he likely will be out of jail in 5 years and probably receive the best treatment of any inmate in there

Isn’t chauvin in jail? Accountability is great, I am in favour, but ruining peoples lives only makes the good cops quit until the whole force will just consist out of chauvins.

Chauvin is in jail for like 20 years and I can already tell he will be out in 5-10 years max. Do you really think that is a fair sentence for someone who effectively tortured and murdered another human being?

There will be more Chauvins in the police force because of how light he got out. Racists are seeing what he did and finding it amazing that they can murder a black person like that and get off light.
