Yeah first listen is a little bit disappointing, tbh. It’s like someone trying to sound like Corbin rather than Corbin himself
Ctrl Alt Del
this album is pretty solid, ngl but some of the album sounds like the same song over and over

Yeah, that’s the problem
Is this him being influenced by the people who worked off his sound?
I hear Peep or Juice doing this type of album in their careers.
I really love this album though

Yeah that's what it sounds like to me. If you saw that feature he did on Laroi's album, a lot of this album feels like just an expansion of that feature basically. Even the MV for Tell Me has the same director and is basically similar stylistically. It's a bit weird, definitely feels like contemporary/cyclical influence. That said I still think it's good, Tell Me, Rambo, Ctrl Alt Del, and Waco are bangers. I think Mourn is better to me personally but interesting growth into a more mainstream friendly sound
this feels like the more mature version of this whole emo rap wave, juice was the closest thing to that but i cant f*** with kid laroi, $not, ssgkobe, etc...

I dont hear that at all nor would I see peep or juice making anything even remotely similar to this
They were both moving in a pretty obvious pop punk direction and I dont think this album is anything close to pop or punk.
In a way this feels to me like the complete antithesis of that tbh with the atmospheric production and soft vocals. This album and his music in general doesnt really remind me of anyone besides him. Maybe like bladee or james blake if u really wanna reach but thats about it. Certainly not anyone making fast paced punk music lol

Was about to say the same thing, this is so far removed from Juice lmao
I hear a little bit of Peep at times, but even so, I don't think a comparison exists
Juice was pop/rap and Peep was pop/punk
This doesn't really fit into either of those categories, very much its own thing

early Peep before he blew up was mainly inspired by Corbin & Bones, I think that's what he's comparing it to, not the pop-punk later direction of his actual albums. If anything a better comparison is probably Kid Laroi, i mean Corbin even featured on the album, and this album really sounds like that feature

Peep was def doing this type of style in his early days. Then I say juice only cause of him branching from peep.
