Couldn’t find a thread about Brother Cornel West and him throwing his hat into the ring for the 2024 presidential election

I wish we lived in a world where he stands a chance

Honestly, we live in a time where a third party candidate could be a possibility.

He has popularity.

I like populist like Cornel West and Bernie, but they don’t have a chance. Trump is the only populist that can really become president

It is a possibility but it’d have to be the safest most famous person you can get. If Cornel even becomes a slight threat they’ll just call him a radical communist over and over, then that’s that.

He's the only candidate who doesn't make me sick to my stomach, and I always support a Black man who has spoke that real for most if not all his life.

I unfortunately don't see him winning s***, but he still got my support.

I plan on voting for him though, im not falling for the Dems “most important election” song & dance again, im refusing to vote for Biden

I support him deeply. Only concern is that for all the love and spiritual stuff he is prefacing his campaign with, he needs to show a vicious tenaciousness on the campaign trail that counters trump and snatches the attention of the white working class

part of me doubts it’s for reasoning like Peoples party being potentially more disconnected from the Dems than DSA

but i guess that’s a way someone could spin it?

The Green Party is an older and stronger voting box than the Peoples Party.

Hoping this draws some power and base away from dems and allows more development of a third party base

People keep getting pushed into “if you don’t vote for X it’s a vote for Y” bullshit narratives and that has to stop
