The guy in that reddit thread is crying because Cornel voted for Jill Stein in the same way that anyone left of the establishment should've voted for Jill Stein You're advocating for people to cast a vote for imperialism?

I'm hoping that this is just naiveté coming from you because there's no way anyone could say in good faith that Cornel called out Obama just because his mom didn't get a ticket to the inauguration. If anything, that was more of an implication that Obama exploited Cornel to lure in progressive voters entirely based on race and in no way based on the policies he ran on. Obama boxed him out and disregarded most, if not all of the progressive stances he campaigned on the second he was elected. Obama was indeed, as Cornel put it, a drone president and a Wall Street sock puppet, and Cornel's presence during the Occupy movement and the Bernie movement should be enough proof that, 98% of the time, Cornel has remained integral to the through line of Fred Hampton, Malcolm X etc.

He is also now running on the Green Party ticket, so the grift mongering about the people's party, however ridiculous, is now moot.

Where is he intellectually out of touch, and what are you expecting of him? Because on one hand he's not pragmatic enough for you when it comes to confronting and bringing an end to imperialism, but ultimately the pragmatism of using a conservative megaphone to voice his consistent and integral viewpoints is grounds for interrogating his political intentions.
