applesaucyMorally speaking it comes down to hedonism. People smoke weed, for example. Weed, inheritly, doesnt kill, but it isnt the best thing to do, but it feels good so yknow, pros and cons. Theres a major difference in terms of chicken, dog, and other meat tho. Different animals meat provide different nutrients, come in different quantities, and have different tastes and ways of cooking.
A balanced diet consists of both meat and veggies in my mind. Yes supplements do exist but thats its own beast.
I don’t really understand this post, why are you bringing up weed or nutrients?
I’m simply saying that eating chicken or dogs is not morally different because the lives of each animals are similar in value. Eating dogs is forbidden here because theyve been branded as cute companions but thats pretty much it

I just built my mom some raised beds for a garden today and copped her hella seeds off eBay so she doesn’t go crazy while she’s off work.
Also bought a rifle and fishing rod... try and hunt and s*** when this s*** dies down.

Im saying that it comes down to how you value "how good things feel" when it comes to morals. I think the lives of each animal differ because of what they were bred for and what purpose theyd serve. Dogs do more than be cute companions. They can hunt, they can protect an ecosystem, and they can warn on upcoming danger. Cows, comparatively, do a lot less
