I was really into network equipment and computers from a young age. I got hired by a router/firewall manufacturer out of high school and did 800 number phone support for a long time and learned a lot. Now I work for a MSP, which I definitely like a lot more since I do a lot less support.

I never took classes or got certified (been thinking of getting certified to make more though). I learned almost everything from just testing stuff out of curiosity and always making sure to read up on things I didn't understand or to ask someone that was more experienced. Yeah the cloud based stuff really seems like the future I haven't worked much with AWS yet but tons of customers are on Azure now for AD and SQL apps and those sorts of things so I've started to get the hang of it. It's definitely nice not having physical hardware to have to d*** with.
