once they reach full capacity they start rationing the medical supplies and that's when the death rates start to spike as they make the "hard decisions" of saving a 40 year old and letting an 80 year old die

as the supplies continue to dwindle these choices will have a downward pressure from 80 to 75 to 70 to 60 year olds as it is now in Spain for example where they basically let anyone over the age of 60 die without care now
