I don't know why people itt were judging the success of the lockdown by number of deaths, as if existing severe cases would somehow be improved by people staying home.

i will again say if you don't think there are people who flaunt EU infrastructure and this sector of politics as being idealistic you must be living under a rock. I am not saying you are. But it is a very common discourse in modern political discussion for things to essentially boil down to "EU systems good, everyone else bad". If you go on hiveminds like twitter or reddit you will see this constantly, and it's very common on college campuses too. I'm not asking people to even discuss the US, I'm asking people to recognize systems within the EU are clearly flawed and these flaws need to be discussed instead of blindly idealizing their systems because certain nuances are relatively better than some arbitrary foreign systems
