As for the panic of people hoarding goods, that’s the issue for anyone under 60
Death rate isn’t the issue. Issue is the surge the health care system will get which will collapse it and be hard to recover from.

UnityI agree that, according to the statistics, there isn't a ton of immediate danger to young people...
With that said, the idea of even 1% of Americans having flu-like symptoms on varying scales all at the exact same time is terrifying and something we are nowhere near prepared for.
Sure, but about 80% of the people with covid19 aren’t even needing to be hospitalized.
I have numerous friends that work in hospitals so I understand the lack of preparedness as I’ve heard it daily. But they also think most people will be fine unless panic/pandemonium takes hold of the average person.

I don’t mean to fear monger but the actual worst case scenario is the virus mutates into something much much more lethal. Keep in mind the Spanish flu only killed older people and people with compromised immune systems at first too. Don’t think it’s gonna happen tho
