Didn’t say it was random. Said it was one guy. It was. Learn to read.

And it’s not one guy. I’m reading. You should try it.

You can't "skew" numbers of a mortality rate. Implying their cases/deaths are less relevant cause there is a large population of elderly is moronic, we not just caring strictly for the young people who are at risk lol

Of course u can if u only look at Italy’s numbers. Older people die at a higher rate, it’s not “less relevant”, it’s just a fact. Pretending Italy is the norm is moronic.

Highly doubt it. If it were ever to come to that, it wouldn't be because of the virus. It'd be society deteriorating to a purge type situation

    or climate change

Your implication that the US don't have more elderly people than Italy is moronic lmao. USE YOUR BRAIN.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I was told when I was younger (by a teacher) that sickness travels faster in warm weather? Maybe bacteria specifically....?

Average age in Italy...45. Average age in America...38.

7 year age average difference is huge. A lot of older people. Italy is an anomaly, it’s why their rates are higher than anywhere else (and the rest are all about the same outside of Italy)

Disregarding Italy and its situation is even more moronic.

Italy is a great example of what will happen if a country/state/whatever is not only completely unprepared but a disproportionate amount of carriers of the virus are out in public for days undiagnosed. The effects of that sort of spread in our current health care situation will lead to crushing numbers, not rocket science

I’ve been trying to convince her. She raised all this money with my sister to fund a mission trip and she’s going to a poor orphanage in Mexico.

She swears it’s all fear mongering. And that’s she’s not at risk because she doesn’t have respiratory problems, but I’ve seen her cough til she can’t breathe when she doesn’t even have anything.

I don’t understand why she would risk it.

Pretending it’s the norm is literally the dumbest thing you can do. Every other country with this has similar rates except Italy.

    But we’d rather fearmonger 💀

I think the point the others are trying to make is that even if Italy has a higher proportion of older people, there are a lot of old people in the US period.

Sure, but they are also much more spread out. Italy is the size of a state here in America lol. Of course it’s going to spread much easier in small areas.

Not taking precautions is actually the dumbest thing you can do.

    But go off.

Italian government handled the containment very poorly. It was leaked to the press that there would be a quarantine so when the news ran the story the day before it was enacted a bunch of people scattered and spread it everywhere.

Also the largest proportion of 65+ population in Europe (22%) has made it more dangerous.

Please tell us how America’s huge cities are less dense than Italy’s. Please.

Did I say to not take precautions? No, in fact I said the opposite.

You sure are triggered because someone doesn’t fall for dumb s*** like Italy is the norm, or that 150 million Americans will get this (a headline you posted numerous times).
