Take it from an Italian, STAY THE F HOME. Stop downplaying it, it's real and closer than you think.
Yes staying home is depressing, but it's way better than being bedridden in hospital or having your parents/grandparents die from it.
It's all joke till it's not.

This can't be said enough! Y'all ain't brave or smart for traveling for the low. If you aren't aware of you having the disease in the first place, you can easily spread it and make it worse.

There is some truth to what SC is saying and what Jey is saying.

I believe that the statistics, shared and backed by multiple sources, have confirmed that elderly people (65+ years of age) and those of all ages with compromised immune systems for any reason are at much higher risk than young and healthy people.

I also believe that the major aspect of this virus that people are going to need to be worried about has nothing to do with getting sick. The overwhelming changes to our daily lives for the coming days, weeks, or (God forbid) months, are going to have the biggest impact on the largest number of Americans.

Not being able to work, not being able to pay bills, food shortages, other resource shortages, lack of health care for those exhibiting symptoms, and an administration that has no intention of telling the truth at any point during this saga are all much bigger threats to the American public than the actual virus.

All we can do at this point is be vigilant. Pay attention to the data. Take precautionary measures. Fact check quotes you see online. Get your information from multiple sources. Do the responsible thing and stay home if you are exhibiting symptoms. Wash your hands. Check up on loved ones. Be safe and be smart.

We're insanely lucky that for some reason it's barely affecting young children. Normally they're the other big at-risk group along with the elderly.

They have done hundreds of thousands of tests. American hasn’t.

To Trump and America's credit, co-pay for testing is going to be free here. One piece of the puzzle but a good start.

Facts vs. opinion, of course the numbers aren't fully there cause of the lack of medical awareness, supplies, etc. but we CAN decline the spread of it and not cause it to become worse than it already is

Yes we can definitely decline. But
It’s a fact that USA is under testing. Sacremento county for example (pop in the Ms) was limited by the CDC to 200 tests a day

These stats aren’t great when US is barely testing for s***. There’s at least thousands of cases here already

Exactly but fam 327 million people live in the states. It could get a whole lot worse if we don't face it and understand that it's gonna get worse before it gets better

The numbers for young children are a real blessing. They are always carriers in huge numbers as well

It’s not “20% or more”. Once again u don’t read or just lie. It’s MAX 20% and the WHO site itself only says 5% are auto hospitalized.

Great you found a percentage. Here’s a scenario based on that percentage, which is what I’m trying to get you to understand:

I work for a hospital and I’ll tell you right now the only screening is asking patients if they have ever traveled to Wuhan China or in the last 6mo or if you know someone who has

If your answer is no to both you aren’t getting tested. There are people walking around with masks and gloves because the misinformation is real this man trump really got the people to ignore the media

Really? Even at this stage, Wuhan is the only place being questioned? We literally have domestic cases now. That's mind-blowing to me
