Feel like we gonna look back this time in the US and see all the half-measures the government put in place as the biggest mistake in this whole pandemic. You can’t ask only white collar workers to stay home when you’re trying to combat an airborne virus, especially when the people still working are potentially exposing themselves to the virus while handling food and goods. At some point you have to put public safety over money. You can’t have your lockdown and your economy at the same time. Pick one, because trying to have both has done nothing to stop the spread and the economy is still tanking. And of course, poor people are getting hit the hardest on both fronts. No more half-measures. Shut it down.
