Uhhhh yeah nyc is the financial capital of the world not medical, if you spent any time in nyc you would’ve known this could happen. Millions of people pack into a relatively small space. Most people who live in the city aren’t medical workers, most building aren’t designed to be hospitals, shoot my mom and brother both work in nyc hospitals but live in LI. That’s common for a lot of people who work in medicine in nyc. So it’s not a problem with being rich it’s a problem with being underprepared.

    1) I was born and raised here and still live here
    2) It has one of the best hospital systems in the world if you're debating that you're speculating, research if you are
    3) If you can't see the correlation between economic resources and quality of hospitals, treatment, and it's availability/capacity to handle a surge .. well I don't know what I can tell you.

Fam we don’t have the infrastructure to handle this, if we knew this was coming a few years out then yeah we’d be prepared but throwing money at a virus ain’t gonna do much.

    Infrastructure issue =/= Financial issue
