dunno if you're US based but this virus certainly appears to be affecting different locales in the US different. i dunno where @flackojodye is based, but places like the dakotas, wyoming, montana, and maybe a few others are seemingly not experiencing as severe of a situation as NY and other urban areas. i don't think he was trying to troll; i think he may just be positioned in somewhere where this isn't f***ing everything up as bad as it is elsewhere.

can't defend the media comments tho. i think media, businesses, and governments are taking good precautions regardless of the locale because bad practices will obviously lead to higher spread.
