Not trying to say one thing or the other...but one of my best friends turned down a 6 figure tech job this past year. Decided he was sick of the corporate world, did a much lower paying internship instead to get into a new industry and switch careers into something more fulfilling. Then got a temp job in Australia, and when s*** hit the fan the state department told him he needed to go home because he may get stranded with no work. Now he's back home waiting on unemployment and trying to find a job.

Life is chaotic. He has no regrets, and he'll bounce back. But you gotta keep the risks in mind. Ultimately you gotta live a life you won't regret, but you gotta live a life you can live too.
