I don’t want to be a hypocrite but I see where people come from man because though I do miss sports and my social life I’m also not falling apart because I’ve found other ways to practice self care

Some people don’t have other ways and rely solely on validation from others or spending money (consumerism) to feel better about themselves

Again I used to be in the same boat but there is definitely more to life than your body count or materialistic possessions

oh right now absolutely not. I'm saying once things start opening again. like say for example a mcdonalds tries to bring back their furloughed workers in mid may or early june. any employee would have to be an idiot to just walk back into work.

Yeah I don’t even care about the money at this point, I just want regular life back and be busy and productive.

eh, it's all kind of cyclical and leads back to those things in the end though. any sort of skill developed or knowledge gained is ultimately useless in isolation.

obviously this isolation isn't permanent and those things gained become valuable and beneficial after this is all over but I think it's reasonable to say that most people aren't necessarily the best at thinking ahead and grasping that lol.

Also think about all the people/children that live in abusive households. Work/school or just being out was their escape and now they are trapped inside with no where to go. I really feel for those people and children and hope they all end up fine.
