No, phase 1 starts May 1 and we'll see about the others. Trump seems to think we'll be in phase 3 by the beginning of June.

Oh you meant you wouldn’t consider phase 2 until after memorial weekend?

Yeah. I think it's very important to keep pushing social distancing with a holiday looming. Easy to lose all the progress we made if people get let out and go crazy.

Sorry man. I hope you at least get some closure soon. Anxiety and confusion are terrible side effects of this pandemic.

If my job tells me the stop working from home and come in more often bc of this government bullshit I’m literally telling them to f*** off

I’m not risking passing this to my parents. Got enough money saved up to last me thru the summer

Sooner than concerts and sporting events, that's for sure. Probably gonna open in a highly constricted capacity sometime over the summer. Even if it's just July and August, they'll want to make some money back.

My little brother works at a trampoline park so I’m wondering. I think not til summer time tbh. Cus the guidelines makes it sound like the first 2 phases should be under 50 people and limited socializing and I can’t picture moms being in a rush to take there kids to crowded parks. Too much fear and it goes against the guidelines. Especially trampoline parks where kids are mushed in close together

That's the rub with our new "open" economy in general...who tf is going to want to go out with no vaccine or reliable treatment in place?

And that's when numbers start getting faked and suppressed. If a state wants to reopen either for federal support or because of economic fears, testing is going to get suppressed to illustrate "improvements." This isn't as likely in Cali and other more financially solvent states, but the Alabamas and Mississippis of the country will be tempted.

Hard to say. There's a big gap between what the federal government wants and what the states want, so the timelines Trump gives us aren't very reliable.

Thanks man, I'm just fiending to play tennis again

Tbh could lockdown indefinitely if I can play

My wife is really into tennis too and we've got a bunch of courts in the valley, she keeps all the gear in her car for the day it can finally get used again

All I want is to be able to go back to my hangout spot. There's a bar in walking distance of my apartment that I used to go to with friends once a week. Mostly Latino clientele with the least pretentious vibe, very welcoming and crazy s*** happened every week. Everyone knew me there and I always met new people. Cheap strong drinks, hot college girls on weekends, pool, darts, karaoke, the whole deal. If I could go back there and chill with face masks, I'd be good.

The occasional movie would be nice too. We've got some great indie theaters here that have good stuff year round.
